the best christmas present ever

At first, it speaks volumes about my laziness, that only today (first day of spring!) I write something about a Christmas present. I will try to become faster... I'll try ;-)

Well, I got a Christmas present from one of my best friends. He was undoubtedly one of the most important persons I ever met in my life. Simply because we have joined our adolescence together and we made dreams about targets in our life which we wanted to achieve. I'm not sure whether I had influences on him that lead to a different way in his life, but the other turn around it was absolutely so. All my life would probably completely different, wouldn't I have met him. Unfortunately, life separated our ways a bit, but whenever I meet him, I feel immediately the same bonds we had once.

Last Christmas Eve we hung around in a local "famous" bar in our hometown after our family celebrations. And there he gave me a Christmas present, which blew my mind away:

It was a CD with music we composed and recorded at the "Dachboden-Studio" in his parent's house. I will not tell here, how many years ago that occurred, so nobody of you will start to make calculations about my or my friends age ;-)
But you can see it on the cover photo... THAT MUST HAVE BEEN AGES....
The cover photo... jeez... I have never seen that photo in my life before, so this was a complete knock out to me. I can tell you, that was really a strange feeling to see myself being quite young on this photo. Probably due to the fact, that I'm not used to it watching old photos of myself.
The music... even more jeez.... terrible, simple, boring, not timing proof - but nevertheless a document and witness of our life at this time :-) and a starting point of the real "Noah Couldn't Swim" era with another friend of us and the precursor of our semi-professional "Sulamith" era. But these are topics for another blog by time ;-)
Maybe you are all curious about this music, and I find it fair to make it public. But be warned, it is really an early case study of our "fantastic music career"... how do the Hollywood actresses mostly say? "we were young and we needed the money..." ;-)

schrecklich müde
terribly tired
incrivelmente cansado
